Sometimes life has a funny way of bringing people back together at just the right time.

Laura and Corbin first met in high school, where they quickly became friends. What Laura didn’t know back then was that Corbin thought she was beautiful — but he was too shy to ever say it. So, they remained friends, and when Laura graduated a year before him, their lives went in different directions and they lost touch.

Years passed, and they each went on to chase their dreams and grow into the people they were meant to become. Then, in early March of 2024, God decided it was time for their paths to cross again. They ran into each other at a parade in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and conversations flowed easily, laughter came naturally, and something clicked.

By March 28, 2024, they officially began their new chapter together — not just as old friends, but as something so much more.

Their love grew quickly and deeply, filled with adventures, shared dreams, and the kind of connection that feels both brand new and wonderfully familiar.

As their love blossomed, Laura also became an important part of Corbin’s world as she got to know his two wonderful daughters, River and Joanna. What started as sweet introductions soon grew into a bond full of laughter, patience, and genuine love. Laura embraced her role in their lives wholeheartedly — cheering them on, helping with diaper changes and potty training, sharing movie nights, and building a relationship rooted in trust and warmth. Over time, the four of them became a family, blending their worlds with grace and a whole lot of love.

Then, in July of 2025, Corbin planned the perfect surprise: a trip to London. As the sun dipped below the skyline, painting the city in gold and rose hues, Corbin proposed to Laura on the London Eye — the city stretched out beneath them, the world standing still in that perfect moment.

What began as a quiet high school friendship had come full circle, transforming into a love story that was always meant to be.
